It's been a busy period, getting ready for the release of 'The House That Screamed', my haunted house meta-horror.
Early reactions have been lovely. Writing is such a solitary and strange occupation. Much of my time is spent at the keyboard, in monastic silence, hoping that what I am writing will find a reader (or more than one!) who loves it as much as I do.
As well as getting ready for readers to walk through the doors of an infamous haunted house, I was thrilled that 'The Forest Remembers', my folk-horror, was acquired by New York-based City Owl Press, with publication expected in 2027. More on that nearer the time, suffice to say I am excited about it.
I've also been working on something new. It's feral, and strange, and something of a departure. Will it find a reader to love it? Time will tell.
