Well, setting up a new website is one of them. It's fair to say that I am not technically-minded.

My nightmares? Trauma, grief, loss of control. You'll find them all in my tales of horror. Ordinary people pushed to the limit by things they do not, cannot, understand. 

The Harvest, my debut novel, was born from a dream, a nightmare so vivid I've never forgotten it. Waking, in shock, I said to myself 'that dream should be in a book'. And so, I wrote it. 

There's a lot of horror out there, much of it great, so what could I do differently with this story? Well, there are loads of brilliant coming-of-age horrors out there, and a few about older people (including Ghost Story, by Peter Straub, arguably the greatest horror novel ever written). Novels with multi-generational protagonists? Not so common. I was inspired to change this, and so The Harvest was born.
